Anything else: To the best of my knowledge, there's currently no way to meaningfully recycle medication blister packs in the UK. This would make a significant difference to the amount of stuff I send to landfill, and is in line with the principle that commercial producers of waste should also take responsibility for making sure it can be disposed of in a way that causes as little environmental harm as possible.

As the "rape clause" exemption cannot be delivered in a way that does not breach women's rights and undermine women's equality and safety, we call on the UK Government to repeal the "family cap" measures in the Welfare Reform and Work Act 2016, including all of its exemptions.

The Chechen government is abducting and torturing gay men. This more than qualifies any gay Chechens for asylum in the UK: the Home Office should issue a statement to this effect so that Chechens fleeing the country know that they will be offered protection in the UK.

Since April 2016, Non-EU citizens wishing to remain permanently in the UK have been required to earn £35,000 a year on a single contracted salary. I find this rule discriminates unfairly against those who chose to work in the NHS, where such a salary is impossible within first 5 years of employment.

Over a hundred men suspected of being gay are being abducted, tortured and even killed in the southern Russian republic of Chechnya according to credible sources inside the country.

The Chechen government won’t admit that gay men even exist in Chechnya, let alone that they ordered what the police call 'preventive mopping up' of people they consider to be undesirable.

We urgently need your help to call out the Chechen government on the persecution of people who are, as they put it, of 'non-traditional orientation' - and urge immediate action to ensure their safety.

Sign the petition now and urge the Russian and Chechen authorities to investigate these abductions and bring those responsible to justice.

Anything else: This is the second petition I've posted to stop the abduction and killing of gay men in Chechnya. I don't know how much signing a petition is going to help, but I figure it can't hurt to make my voice heard in as many places as possible.

To President Putin and all Russian authorities:
"As concerned citizens from around the world, we strongly urge you to stop the crackdown on gay people in Chechnya, and to uphold the values of justice and tolerance."
More information:

Chechnya is rounding up gay people and taking them to torture camps, and it's as horrific as it sounds. Men are being electrocuted, tortured until they reveal names of other gay people, and beaten so badly that some have died.

Targeting gay people and dragging them into camps is like something the Nazis would do. It’s both terribly upsetting and infuriating, but there's a plan to stop it.

Avaaz will amplify the call of brave local activists in the media and use our massive global outcry to force an end to the crackdown. Sign the petition and tell everyone - let’s get to one million.

A bill has been introduced to end membership of the United States in the United Nations.

Do you like the UN? Do you like the US being part of the UN? Do you like the US having an influence on the UN?

If so: please, call your House representatives and raise an unholy fuss encourage them to vote against HR 193.

Petition at MoveOn.org.

1600 species are covered by the Endangered Species Act. Fewer than 70 have ever been delisted, but that doesn't actually mean failure - that means some species are under enough pressure to be considered "conservation-dependent." If we do not work to keep them alive, they will become extinct. They're still here, and that means success.

Republicans oppose the law because it limits drilling and logging.

If you're feeling ambitious, call your representative as well and tell them you don't support this.

As a result of being investigated by a United Nations committee for not fulfilling the terms of the UNCRPD, the government have been found guilty of grave & systematic violations of the rights of disabled people as a direct result of austerity policies introduced into welfare & social care.

If cuts to Universal credit go ahead, hard-working families will be left struggling to pay for things like school shoes and the weekly shop. The fact these cuts will hit hardest for families who want to work more hours just doesn't make sense.

No one should be left out of pocket because they want to work more. Will you please use the Autumn Statement to reverse plans to cut support for hard-working families?

Sorry, no formal posting template has been sorted out yet!

Periods are annoying on a good day. But they are a whole lot more difficult to deal with when you don't have a home or a bathroom or funds for sanitary products. That's the reality for THOUSANDS of homeless women everyday. But there's something we can do to change that. Period.

Sanitary products are kind of difficult to come by. Homeless shelters do not always provide them and the few public bathrooms that offer them, do so at a price. We are calling on Procter & Gamble, the multinational consumer goods company that produces ‘Always’ sanitary pads and ‘Tampax’ tampons, to uphold their self-proclaimed 'responsibility charter' by changing this. Now. We want them to donate a small but REALLY important proportion of their sanitary products to homeless shelters across the United Kingdom: a programme that would benefit so many vulnerable people.

This is specifically lobbying for Procter & Gamble, who manufacture Always and Tampax, to donate a proportion of their sanitary products to homeless shelters in the UK. I think it's a great idea, and I think lobbying for corporations to do their bit in general is a good plan.
