Roma/Traveller Consultation

I've put up the details - including analysis on some of the questions – on my own journal (I didn't want to duplicate the whole article).

The consultation runs until the 4th of March next year, so no immediate hurry. It's nasty (I say with my geographer's hat on; writing surveys was part of my education, and this is as biased as they come).

I would very much like input especially on the first part of the survey as I don't see a way of filling it out that will not be harmful: the assumption that a nomadic lifestyle should be criminalised is not something you can disagree with.

QueerCare is a transfeminist autonomous care organisation, providing training, support and advocacy for trans and queer people in the uk (and further afield).

We focus on building communities which can care for themselves, and providing them with the resources to do so, from legal support to medical equipment.

We also work to link local advocacy and support workers with people who need these services, as well as covering expenses (and, hopefully soon, wages) for advocates at appointments.

We’re focused on helping trans women and people who experience transmisogyny, but we help as many people as we can, especially queer and trans people of all genders, and those unable to access other services.

Activism accountability post

I don't know if this will be a regular thing, because spoons, but here for you today at least: an activism accountability post!

Feel free to use the comments section here however you like.

I intend to use it as a checklist of things I'd like to be doing, in order to have this in a place I know I can find again, and then maybe check things off as I get them done. You can use it like that, or as a repository of things you've already done, or whatever else you like.
