We just had a terrible election result here in the UK. There is a lot to do. I don't necessarily know what, or how to prioritise, but let's get started.

I'm going to try to post at least one actionable thing a week here. It might be a crowdfund to help someone get medical care they need, move out of an abusive household, or pay ongoing bills; a petition to get your voice heard on a particular issue; a protest, ditto; or something else entirely. We'll see what comes up.

I'm also going to try to post [personal profile] copperbadge's Radio Free Monday weekly. And I'm going to stick something in [community profile] signalboost.

I'm trying to go slowly, in order to avoid overwhelming myself. But I'm trying to do something.

Anyway, hi.

This article isn't perfect. Its first recommendation is donating to the Trussell Trust, about whom some people seem to have serious reservations. (I think how picky we can afford to be when it comes to feeding the hungry is probably up to the individual, but it's probably worth mentioning.)

However, it does have a number of helpful suggestions of things we can do in the coming weeks and months to help mitigate the damage that is sure to be done by the new UK government.
