I like the idea of a posting template and of limiting the number of items per post. Seeing too many things all at once can mean that I can't actually address any of them. This applies in low stress communities like [livejournal.com profile] whatwasthatbook, so I suspect I'd get overwhelmed here where posts have real world emotional impact and the outcomes can affect people's lives.

I'd like a line on the template for people to add extra information that doesn't fit anywhere else. For example, I saw someone on LJ post that they couldn't go to a particular protest but would like to sponsor someone else who wanted to go but couldn't afford it.

I'd like a sticky post where people can comment with useful links they find. I'd be willing to monitor such a post and sort and compile the links so that people could find them more easily. I'd be surprised if it took more than half an hour to an hour a day, and most days I have more time than that for such things.
