Help [personal profile] ysobel train and care for a new service dog

Link: Donate via GoFundMe
Time estimate: < 5 mins
Requirements: money / mental personal information / decision-making
Anything else:
Now for the awkward bit: you know how I mentioned that the puppy-plus-private-trainer route costs more? Total cost is approximately $20,000. Which is a) a lot of money, b) especially since my benefits are dependent on me having less than $2000 total assets. (Medical equipment doesn't count so *owning* the dog is fine, but I can't exactly save up.)

You can read the full story and see other ways to help at [personal profile] ysobel's Dreamwidth post.

Take part in the government's consultation on unauthorised encampments

Link: Read about and respond to the consultation
Deadline: Wednesday 4th March 2020, 11:59PM
Time estimate: ~1hr
Requirements: mental / personal information / decision-making
Anything else:

The consultation runs until the 4th of March next year, so no immediate hurry. It's nasty (I say with my geographer's hat on; writing surveys was part of my education, and this is as biased as they come).

There's more information and analysis at [personal profile] green_knight's posts on this community and on their own journal
There's also guidance on how to respond to the consultation from a Gypsy organisation.
[personal profile] cesy also gave a quick summary of suggested responses in a comment on green_knight's journal.
